Machinist/Toolmaker
Machinist / Toolmaker (Ref: RSM2011-1)
Creative individual to work alongside our lead toolmaker to develop
single station tooling for metal stampings (plastic guys don’t bail out – we
are doing things differently than the stamping world and
your skills may
match) and then manufacture low volume (typically 1 to 25 parts) stampings.
While we ramp up, your machining skills will also be applied to secondary
machining of sheet metal parts. Great opportunity for someone who is tired
of making the same injection mold/ stamping dies day after day
and wants to
use accumulated experience in a wide range of projects.
Desirables:
- CAD/CAM and G Code experience
- Metal Stamping knowledge
Must Haves:
- You must be able to complete tasks without extensive supervision
- Be able to review customer prints and 3D customer computer models to
determine
job requirements
- Understand and apply tolerances in prints and models
- Set up tools and work pieces in 3 axis vertical CNC machines and 2
axis lathes
- Check and replace tools if needed
- Inspect parts
- Understand and apply correct speed, feed, and DOC requirments
- Be able to program using machine conversational
- Maintain a clean work area
High school graduate or equivalent...at least 2 or more years of
operating CNC equipment
